Departure from Positano’s pier* at 9:00 am for an unforgettable day at sea towards the Island, the Capri Italy boat tours, with a small group of a maximum of 12 passengers.
As we leave the colourful cliffside of Positano behind, the journey begins across the shimmering Tyrrhenian Sea. Soon you will find yourself gliding past the enchanting Li Galli Islands—three tiny islets rich in myth and legend. From the coast, they appear as a single island, but at sea level their true form is revealed. And if you could see them from above, you would notice that the largest one is shaped like a dolphin, leaping forever through the water.
As Capri comes into view, its dramatic cliffs and emerald coves will take your breath away. Famous worldwide for its timeless beauty, the island will welcome you with a coastline full of natural wonders: the White Grotto, the Natural Arch, and the iconic Faraglioni rocks—towering stone rising from the sea. Admiring Capri’s Faraglioni will be the most romantic and magical moment of the entire journey.
Upon arrival in Marina Piccola**, you will disembark and enjoy 4 hours of free time to explore the island at your own pace. Stroll through the elegant streets of Capri, enjoy lunch in a charming local restaurant, browse the boutiques hidden in narrow alleys, or soar up to Anacapri on the picturesque chairlift for a breathtaking panoramic view over the sea until reaching Monte Solaro. Before leaving you, the Captain will provide all the details about the meeting point and boarding time for your return.
Back on board, the tour continues along Capri’s wilder side. You will admire the dazzling Green Grotto, the lighthouse of Punta Carena, and the legendary Blue Grotto***. (Please note: entrance ticket not included, and sea conditions may affect the visit.) The Blue Grotto is a place governed by nature—its magic depends entirely on tides and weather. If the sea is calm and the waiting time is short, you may choose to enter the grotto in small rowing boats, while those who prefer can simply relax on board.
On the way back to Positano, you will stop for a refreshing swim in the crystal-clear waters of a peaceful coastal bay—an idyllic moment to float, relax, and fully embrace the beauty of the coast.
A wide selection of soft drinks and Prosecco will be available on board throughout the day.
Please note that the order of the itinerary may vary, depending on winds and currents, as the Captain will always choose the most comfortable and scenic route for your experience.
* We also offer departures from Praiano at Marina di Praia or at La Gavitella.
** Please note that the disembarkation pier may vary depending on weather and sea conditions, and at the Captain’s discretion. Disembarkation may also take place at Marina Grande in Capri.
*** Visiting the Blue Grotto is not always possible because the opening of the cave depends on weather and sea conditions. Our boat will stop at the entrance of the cave, and from there you will pass onto a small rowing boat, managed by the Cooperativa Battellieri di Capri, the only ones that allow entry into the cave. You can purchase tickets for the Blue Grotto directly on site. In high season, the queue at the entrance is very long; for this reason, the decision to wait to enter will be at your discretion.
Discover the essence of Capri and Anacapri with these five must-see and must-do experiences:
1. Piazzetta di Capri: also known as Piazza Umberto I, it can be reached from the port of Marina Grande with the funicular, the famous private convertible taxis or by minibus. Once arrive, don’t forget to look up at the historic Clock Tower. The square is full of attractions, such as the Church of Santo Stefano, artisan shops, and luxury brand boutiques. Plus, there’s no better way to immerse yourself in the local Capri atmosphere than by sitting in one of the Piazzetta’s outdoor bars. Order a coffee, an ice cream or an aperitif and enjoy La Dolce Vita!
2. The Gardens of Augustus and Via Krupp: Immerse yourself in the lush greenery and fragrant flowers of the Gardens of Augustus, a botanical paradise overlooking the Faraglioni of Capri on one side, and the Bay of Marina Piccola and the hairpin bends of Via Krupp on the other. Located around the Certosa Valley, Monte Tuoro, Monte Tiberio, Monte San Michele and the typical Capri houses with vaulted ceilings. Here you will find Via Krupp, a splendid stone street suspended over Capri’s sea. Make your way down on foot to reach Marina Piccola and enjoy the view 100 meters over the sea!
3. Spiaggia di Marina Piccola: This cosy bay is the perfect destination for a breathtaking Faraglioni view on a tiny beach. Situated on the southern coast of Capri’s island, Marina Piccola is behind a rugged cliff that always makes this bay warm. You will find the bus terminal and the Sant’Andrea church at Marina Piccola's main square. Descend the steps to access the beach and the Siren’s rocks, where, according to legend, the captivating mermaids have seduced Ulysses.
4. The chairlift to reach Monte Solaro: The highest point on the island is 589 meters above sea level, known as Monte Solaro. Reach this fantastic panoramic point via the chairlift, which in just 12 minutes will take you from Piazza Vittoria in Anacapri to the top. To reach Anacapri, you can take a bus from Capri that stops a few meters from the chairlift entrance. On Monte Solaro, you can admire the entire island of Capri below you, the Vesuvius with the Gulf of Naples and the Sorrento Peninsula in front. In the distance, you can also glimpse the Amalfi Coast with the Galli Island.
5. Villa Jovis: This villa, perched on Capri’s cliffs, is an ancient Roman palace built by Emperor Tiberius. Located high above the sea, it offers breathtaking views. You can explore its ruins and imagine the luxurious life of its former owner.
