Positano is a small town on the Amalfi Coast, known worldwide for its unique landscapes. Massive rocks plunge into crystal-clear waters, and because of the territory’s shape, colourful houses are perched on the rocky ridges, creating suggestive scenery that you won’t find anywhere else on Earth.

5 spots will allow you to capture postcard-like photos. Here is the magical list:

1) Spiaggia Grande:

The so-called Spiaggia Grande (the main beach) is the heart of Positano and the most Instagrammed beach in 2023. From here it is possible to admire the pyramid of houses that unfolds over Positano’s hill. The main features of the houses are the bright colours, arched windows, balconies embellished with flowers and traditional domes.

2) Fornillo

Fornillo is a long beach in Positano characterized by pebbles, reachable on foot from the main one in less than ten minutes. The charm of this beach is given by the Tower called “Torre Clavel” on the western side. This tower was built in the Middle Ages as a watchtower to defend Positano from Saracen bandits’ incursions. Its pentagonal shape makes it unique.

3) Arienzo

Arienzo, a secondary beach of Positano, from where it is possible to admire the Spiaggia Grande in its entire beauty. It is possible to get here by taking a walk on small stairs from the road or by boat. The quiet and peacefulness of this beach make it perfect for whoever is searching a secluded spot to relax.

4) La Sponda

La Sponda is a panoramic area along the street that from the Main Beach takes to the upper part of the town. This magical spot was chosen multiple times by directors as a movie set. Here the colourful houses create a gorgeous background, moreover, it is possible to capture photos of the Spiaggia Grande from above.

5) Nocelle (Path of the Gods)

Nocelle is a tiny village on top of Positano. Here it is possible to admire an incredible view over Montepertuso (another small village of Positano’s municipality) the centre of Positano, Li Galli islands, the whole coastline till Punta Campanella and Capri with Faraglioni Rocks. Here is also the beginning of the enchanting Path of the Gods. This path links Positano to Agerola, a town located in the mountain range Monti Lattari. While approaching Agerola, you will have the impression of flying over a magical landscape that embraces the whole Sorrento Peninsula.
