Are you looking for the most beautiful beaches on the Amalfi Coast? Here are some suggestions for you!

Whether staying in Positano, Praiano, or Amalfi, include these five beaches in your itinerary for a memorable and picturesque vacation.

MARINA GRANDE IN POSITANO

The Marina Grande, well known by local people to be “Spiaggia Grande”, as the name suggests, is the largest beach in Positano; you can get there via a small street that leads from the town center of Piazza dei Mulini to the sea.

It is the most visited place during the summertime with tourists from all over the world and famous people who visit Positano, like Steven Spielberg, Bruce Springsteen, Madonna, Jennifer Lopez and more!

Free beach spaces are available next to the beach clubs equipped with every comfort.

Also, make sure to indulge in the local Amalfi Coast cuisine. Fresh seafood like spaghetti alle vongole (spaghetti with clams), lemon-based dishes like the world-famous Lemon Sorbet and typical home-made desserts like the torta caprese with chocolate and almond, are just a few of the delights you’ll find in restaurants and beachside cafés across the Spiaggia Grande Positano.

From Marina Grande you can use the shuttle service by sea to reach the other beaches of Positano like Arienzo and Fornillo or you can go on Private Boat Trips along the entire Amalfi Coast, Capri, Ischia and Procida.

LA GAVITELLA IN PRAIANO

La Gavitella Beach is a tiny and rock bay located between Positano and Furore

If you are in love with the natural paths, one of the most evocative ways to reach this beach is to walk along the steps of Via Gavitella, which start from Piazza San Gennaro in the center of Praiano. From this small rocky beach, it is possible to admire Positano, the Li Galli Islands and the Faraglioni of Capri in the distance. The sea has an enchanting color and the seabed is truly wonderful, where you can find sea urchins and small crabs.

If you are searching for a relaxing way to reach this small beach, you can enjoy a romantic Half-Day Tour on board a typical wooden boat like our Gozzo Don Raffaè.

 THE FJORD OF FURORE

The so-called “Fjord of Furore” is a small beach, just 25 meters long, a depression between the two sides of the mountain, eroded and dug by the Schiato river. It is a unique territory of its kind in Italy because it recalls the typical conformation of Nordic fjords, valleys or inlets crossed by the sea.

The Furore fjord, located between Praiano and Amalfi, is surmounted by a bridge 30 meters high where the Amalfi state road passes. The beach is small and private, but no less visited by tourists who appreciate it for its uniqueness.

Reach the Fiordo di Furore by the sea from Positano with an elegant motor boat and pass under this unique bridge, the perfect spot for an incredible photo!

DUOGLIO BEACH IN AMALFI

Among the most beautiful and renowned beaches on the coast is the Duoglio beach in Amalfi, chosen above all for its crystal clear and sparkling sea. The Duoglio beach is not far from the city center and is accessible by a staircase of 400 steps. The beach is loved by everyone, but in particular by sportspeople. Whether you’re an adventurous traveller or simply seeking a peaceful retreat, this breathtaking beach should be at the top of your Amalfi Coast itinerary.

ATRANI BEACH

Atrani is a real jewel: it is the smallest Italian village in terms of surface area and is one of the most evocative, in fact, it belongs to the ranking of the most beautiful villages in Italy. The beach of Atrani is also amongst the most beautiful beaches in Italy, despite its very small size. Its characteristic is being divided by the mouth of the Dragone River, which is completely dry in the hot season. From this beach you can admire the perched houses above the mountains, for a unique setting. From the sea, you can also see the Collegiata di Santa Maria Maddalena with its colorful bell tower that makes it truly special.

The best way to visit these enchanting beaches in one day is absolutely with a Private Boat Experience for a full or half day tour full of relaxation and privacy; If you prefer to have more fun and meet new people, another way is with a Small Group Tour around the Mediterranean Sea.
